Update a baseline

Where can I find a description for how to do a baseline revision.

How to save the original baseline, and how to create the new for cost,
manhours and durations...

Hi Helge,

If you are using Project 2002 or Project 2003, you may save additional
baselines (Baseline1, Baseline2, etc.) through Tools > Tracking > Save
Baseline and select the new baseline you wish to populate with data from
the drop-down list.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Which baseline does MSP track my projects after? Is it Baseline or Baseline 1
to 10 Or can I choose whatever baseline I want?

Hi Helge,

Project uses Baseline to calculate variance (Cost, Start, Finish,
Duration, Work etc.) If you wish to calculate variance on another
Baseline (Baseline1 for example) you can copy Baseline1 data into the
Baseline line field through Tools > Tracking > Save Baseline and
selecting an interim plan. Copy from: Baseline1 copy to: Baseline.

You may select which baseline is used for Earned Value calculations by
clicking the Earned Value button on the Calculation tab of the Tools >
Options dialog box.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
