update field function

Does anyone know how or why I can't get the "update field" function to update
my data when placed in to a table. It works fine out side of a table on the
doc but not inside a table.

Use a macro to update the field. The code in the following link will update
the field wherever it is.

The macro works but not when the data is placed in a cell in a table. Any
more ideas?
