Update - Summary tasks do not appear in WebAccess

T

test

When we update time sheets summary tasks do not appear. It makes it
difficult to distinguish TASKS with the same name on big projects with many
tasks.

The problems remains even if the option to show all hierarchical levels is
chosen.

We use the French version of MsProject2002 and WebAccess.

Hi Dale,

I was with "Test" (which is in fact Romeo) yesterday and the problem doesn't
come from the task page, but from the Update page. The option "Show summary
tasks" is not present on that page. So when he wants to accept a task and
two tasks with the same name (which is frequent), he is not able to see from
which section of the project the update have been done. In short, the
"summary tasks" are not present in the update page. Is there a way to show
them...

Thanks

Hugues

posted if anyone provides an answer for you.

Hugues and Romeo --

Sorry. I didn't realize you were wanting to see summary tasks on the
Updates page. I am not aware of any way to have summary tasks displayed on
the Updates page. The best that PWA offers right now is the default
grouping on this page, which is to Group by Project, Then by Task Change
Type, and Then by From. Sorry for the bad news.

It looks like there no correct solution at this time.

To bypass the problem temporarily, there is 2 alternatives:
.. rename the task with a prefix of the summary task
..or insert the name of the Summary task in a note on the task
