Upgrade Offer from Office 2001

I bought a fresh copy of Office 2001 for a new mac laptop back in April, and
I know it said when I got it that I would be able to get a free upgrade to
2004 when it came out. Well 2004 is out and I have scanned the MS website
to no avail. Does anyone know what I can do get the free upgrade? I would
have waited if I had known it was going to be a big ordeal. Thanks.

Sorry it was Office X I bought the full version of: the latest version before
2004.

AFAIK, the free upgrade only applied to those who bought Office v.X during a
specific time period that April 2004 falls into. You are eligible for a paid
upgrade version to 2004 from 2001.

If you have v.X as opposed to 2001, see:

Download the technology guarantee and follow the instructions.
