Upgrade Office 2007 Pro Academic version to Office 2007 Pro

I have a customer who is looking to migrate/upgrade from Microsoft Office
2007 Pro Academic version to Microsoft Office 2007 Pro.

What options will this customer have available to them?
Is there some sort of an License Upgrade path where they can leave the
software installed and just entered an new license number which will convert
them to a NON academic version?

Regards,
Raoul.

What is "2007 Pro Academic version"? There is a bewildering array of Office
suites and licensing terms, and the only real way to know what you have is
by matching up the wording exactly in the product name. Afaik the only
suite which might be "2007 Pro Academic version" is Home and Student, for
which the license does not allow commercial use.

If the customer is still a student, i.e. still has a valid ".edu" email and
is now taking courses, he/she can qualify for this deal, which includes a
perpetual license.

Afaik, one cannot convert one Office Suite to another by entering a
different Product Key.

Cheers,

Earle
