Upgrade Office XP Pro French with Office 2003 Pro US upgrade

Hello,
I have moved to the US last year and I would like to upgrade my version of
office. I bought my copy in France. It is a version XP Pro French. I would
like to know if I can upgrade my Office with a version 2003 pro upgrade that
I would buy in a store like Best Buy. Will there be some issue because of the
difference of languages? I am a home user.

I am not positive but I'm thinking you can't do that.

You cannot upgrade over a different language version.
You'll need to purchase a "Full Version" of Office in
your desired language.

That is not an upgrade.. it is a side step.. if you want Office 2003 Pro in
English, you have to install the full package..
