Upgrade?

I just recently had Office 2000 go bad. We dont have any
of the original product information so we purchased a new
version of Offic XP.
Do I have to remove the corrupted Office 2000 or can I
just do an upgrade? Do I need the original CD to do the
upgrade?

Please let me know

thanks

If you have purchased a retail non upgrade version of Office XP, then you
don't need the disc for verification if yes, then yes <g>
Simply start the wizard for Office XP and it will remove corrupted Office
2000 components, if there were any.

Well, the best way would be to uninstall your 2000
version and all of it's components and install office XP.
That way you don't have to upgrade, if you do, then the
problem may still exist because you are registring new
files to the directory. So uninstall office 2000 and
install office xp.
