Upgrading from Office Basic to Small Business

M

Martin

I am upgrading from Office Basic 2003 to Office Small
Business 2003. I assume I remove Office Basic before
installing Small Business? Any precautions I should take
prior to making the change? Thx

Hi Martin,

You'll need to use the full product CD for Office 2003
Small Business Edition. Lateral moves between editions
in the same 2003 series aren't considered 'upgrades' by
Microsoft. Once you have the software you can uninstall
the original and then install the replacement product.

You may want to see if the PC supplier has a 'swap out'
deal for a higher edition that would save you money.
