Upgrading/setup: moving to Office 2003

Stuart

Hi, I have Office 97 and would like to upgrade to Office
2003 - I know it's possible but . . . . can I upgrade an
OEM license to a 'real' one?

The machine that had the OEM software is defunct but I
still own the software license (do I?) - can I install
this on a new laptop from the old disks and then upgrade
to 2003??

Thx . . . stu

Yes, Office 97 is accepted as a qualifying product for the Office 2003
Upgrade products. It doesn't matter if the Office 97 product is an OEM
version. If the OEM Office 97 product is the Small Business Edition, you
will need to insert the CD when prompted even if it is already installed.
