upgrading

i am going to update to winxp from win98 .I have office
xp.
will i be be able to open my saved office files
(burnt onto disk) in xp operating system??
fat32 to ntfs //

Yes, you'll be able to do that with no problems. First, though, you'll
have to copy the files from the CD onto the hard disk. Also, check the
properties of the copies on the hard disk to make sure they aren't
marked read-only (because all files on CD are read-only). Don't try to
use Word to edit files directly on CD-RW -- usually it doesn't work at
all, but if it does it's at risk of file corruption.
