Hi Guys,
This is driving me nuts now. Pl. help urgently !!!
I had to uninstall & install Project Server several
times. The primary reason for this was that I was not
able to connect to the Project Server via PP2K2 though
Project Web Access did not give any probs.
Currently I did a clean install of SQL Server 2K+SP3 &
Analysis Services 2K+ SP3 & then installed Project Server
2K2. Yet I face the same problem. Everytime I try access
Project Server via PP2K2, after authentication, I get the
following SQL error.
Connection Failed
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error:53
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]
ConnectionOpen (Connect())
Connection Failed
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server Error:17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server
does not exist or access denied
Can anyone explain me what the hell this means. I am
struggling with this issue for quite sometime & we have
to Go Live with the Project Server in next few days. Pl.
help !!!
Just to give you a background, I was able to do normal
operations with this Project Server a month back till I
decided to uninstall the app which did not go smoothly.
Thereafter I have been facing this problem everytime.
Pl. help. I need to get this resolved urgently. Is it
something to do with gobal.mpt not being available on the
server or is it something to do with the ODBC driver
available on the client machine. Pl. note I have SQL
Server 2k +SP3 installed.
