using a sub report for totals in main report

i have a sub report that i have created a crosstab query to obtain the
information i want to display as totals in a main report that is run by date.
the main report is called after selections are made in a dialog form with a
list box.
everything is fine execpt the sub report will not display what has be
selected from the list box. the sub report displays all items within the date
range but not what has been selected from the form with the list box.

Any help please?
