Hi Paul,

You are quite welcome! Those simple issues are indeed annoying! Often
it is the simplicity that makes them so easy to overlook. And of course, I
cannot see your screen to notice that particular issue. I remember once
someone called me for help; whenever she double-clicked on something it would
open and then immediately close. It made no sense and I had her try a number
of things. Finally I went to her office and almost immediately saw the
issue. There was a book resting on the Esc key of her keyboard! Still, a
locked-file error would have been nice. Perhaps some Access programmer at
Microsoft slipped up there? Who knows...

Good Luck!

Hi Clifford:

It was a pleasure working with you...thank you. I do have one last request...
is it possible to SPLIT the working area in Access so that I can see Forms
and Tables that are open as I have discovered that the Import Saved
Proceedures only works if the table is closed. On a Split Form, this is of
course not possible. If I could show the Form AND the Table at the same time,
there would be no need for Split Form...tanks again, have a Great Holiday and
New Year.

I have found the error...so simple, but soooo anoying. Just by chance, I
closed all of my applications and then ran the Access database again...AND IT

It looks like I am off-to-the-racs now, I will give you a heads-up when it is
all done...just for completeness...thanks again.

Hi Paul,

Thank you too! Shameless plug: Please give my answers a good mark as
appropriate.

I would guess you are in the default tabbed window view (Uugghh!@!).
Go to the Office button and choose Access Options. Choose the Current
Document set and Change the Document Window Option to Overlapped Windows.
Note that this is a per-database setting so you have to change it for all
databases (again Uuugghhh!!!).
