Hi Dave,
You may contour a resource's assignment work in Project by using either
the Resource Usage or Task Usage view.
If you use the Task Usage view, double click on the assignment
(represented by the italicized resource name under the task name) to
show the Assignment Information dialog box. Select the work contour from
the Work Contour drop down list. You will find 7 other contours other
than "Flat" in the list. The other option is to manually edit the work
in the timescaled (right) portion of the view.
The same steps can be done in the Resource Usage view. The difference
is that the assignment will be represented by the task name underneath
the Resource's Name.
