verticle/horizontal guides

When I click and drag a verticle or hortizontal guide, the guide is covered
by either the text box or graphic I have in place. How do I display my
guides on TOP of my page?

You should be able to see the guides if your text box is transparent. Otherwise
this is the way it is in Publisher. You could place thin lines on the guides and
bring those to the front, be certain to delete them before you print.

It will help a lot to make your text box transparent (no fill). Then only
the graphics will interfere.
