What is the file extension of your video file? Mpeg
What is the source of the file? It is set up to play in WMP 10 (I hope this
is the answer you were looking for)
Did it come from a digital camera? Yes
:
That means that it won't play in PowerPoint because PowerPoint hands the
video
off to mplay32.exe.

I did what you asked me to do and the answer is "no" my video does not play
in mplay32.exe.
:
Go to Start/Run and type in mplay32.exe
Does your video play in that media player?

I have been trying things off and on for 6 month but from what I can
remember
I did the following things in trying to fix the video problem.
1) I downloaded several Codec programs but non of them worked out. I
would
not be able to remember the names of the programs. I am still very
unfimiliar
with how these programs work.
2) I uninstalled and reinstalled the WMP 10 because I thought for a
while
that I started having this problem after I upgraded from WMP 9.
3) I slowed the video accelarator down to "none" in WMP 10.
4) I moved my video file(s) to make sure that I did not go over 128 in
character length and then tried to insert video from the new folder.
5) I tried to see if there was an update for my video card but it tells
me
I
am uptodate.
All my video clips work if I click on them and they open directly in WMP
or
any other player.
:
Please tell us all of the things you've tried. That'll help us
determine if
there's something else to try. Otherwise we'll just have to tell you
to
do it
all.

When I insert a video clip into Power Point and then click on it to
start
playing it just flickers for a moment and then turns back to a black
square.
I never had a problem with this until I installed Power Point 2003.
I
have
pulled my hair out reading posts and doing everything people say to
do
but
still nothing has changed for me. I have XP proffesional on my
computer.
