I was given a PowerPoint file that has video inserted on some slides. I can
watch this presentation on his machine, but the videos won't play on mine.
It doesn't seem to be a linking problem, because I have the videos in the
same directory with the presentation and I can see the first frame of the
video before the video portion turns white. The videos are AVI files
encoded for/with (?) the CinePak codec. I have also tried converting them
to WMF and MPEG-1 with the same "white window" results. These files all
play with the wmplayer.exe and mplay32.exe players on my XP system.
I can drag and drop the video from windows explorer onto a slide and, after
I click on it, it will play with a filename caption and with the progress
bar.
