Viewing and Converting .mix from photodraw

I have hundreds of Photdraw files (from Office 2000). What can I do with
them now that I have Office system 2003 and no program seems to be able to
view or convert them? Some of these are invaluable.

I'd reinstall PhotoDraw from the Office 2000 install CDs, open the files and
convert them to something more universal -- PNG or TIF. I wouldn't use JPG.

Picture It! will also open MIX files.

If your MIX files have layers, saving as TIF or PNG is going to compress
those layers. I don't know what to do about that -- except maybe save each
layer as a separate image?
