viewing different computers

i have microsoft powerpoint on a pc computer and my school has mac computers
and when i present my powerpoints, it shows up differently, is there a reason
to this? is there anyway to solve this, or is there a way to know how it
would look like on a mac before presenting it on a pc, if this makes any
sense at all.. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance to anyone who
answers
