Viewing email in Outlook 2003 tries to run installer

When I click on some email messages in Outlook 2003 to view them, a
box pops up to run the Office 2000 installer to install some feature.
(I upgraded Office 2000 with Office 2003 on this machine.) What's
going on, and is there some way to stop this? I can click cancel a
few times per email and get it to stop, but it is very annoying.
