Viewing schedule on bars

I have a manager that wants a schedule set up with all the working times of
his staff. This is 93 people with a big variety of start, stop, days off.
To put each on a seperate calender would require over 40 calendars. Even if
I do that, I can't see the individual schedule when listing a group of
people. Is there anyway to do this? He doesn't want to see the starting and
ending times in a column, he wants it on the bar so he has a quick visual of
his staff.

Simply put a task for each resource, then a task for each time off period.
Indent these to make the resource name task a summary task.

Having said that it's an incredibly expensive job just to provide a
graphical picture of when people are away. Why not have dates entered in a
database or spreadsheet and sort. This quickly shows who is away for a set
date. Much quicker, cheaper and safer because getting it right in Project
needs careful use.

Hi Judy,

Had this question several times before.
A silmilar transformation (turning Calendar holidays into fixed date tasks)
can be done by a macro you will find on my website (see address below -
"English - Microsoft Project - Article"). It may inspire a VBA man to write
what your boss wants.
