We use a company template where the background is blue
and the text is white.

The problem we have is that when we select the text, the
highlight bar is also white. Therefore because both the
text and the bar being white, we are unable to see what
we are typing.

My question is - is there a command to change the
highlight bar.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

You have to change the Appearance setting for the desktop.
Right click on the desktop, properties, Appearance tab, in XP click on
Advanced button, under items, selected items, change the color.

This is a function of the slide color scheme. Go to Format/Color Scheme
and change the background color to blue. This won't necessarily change
the actual color of the actual background, depending on how you set that
up, but, as you're seeing, it's important in order to be able to see
what you're typing.
