Visio 2003 Brainstorming topic rectangle changing line thickness

I have been using the brainstorming template for a diagram and I want to change the line thickness of the topics when they are set to rectangle shapes. When I use the dropdown for line thickness I can select a new thickness but it doesn't take effect. So far, the only way I can change the line thickness is by editing the Line Format section of the shape sheet for each of the topics. Is there an easier way?

Unfortunately, that cell is guarded so you have to edit the shapesheet. I
would record a macro to change one and then rerun it.

Actually, you would be better advised to edit the local master of the topic
shape (nb. check that "Match Master By Name On Drop" is checked). Use the
ShapeSheet to edit the formulae to taste...

If I remember correctly, the line weight formula is local to the shape
instances here, meaning that master edits will not affect the shapes.
