Chuck Christensen

I have many visio files and have just upgraded my OS to
Windows XP and now find that my visio program is
incompatible.
Is there any help in this, as the functions in Visio
Technical 5.0 that I have been using and have several
fild drawings, are not available in the new versions of
Visio.
Thanks,
chuck

The incompatibility errors can be ignored.

Even if you do retain Visio 5 for use, you should consider upgrading to
Visio 2002 before November (and qualify for a free upgrade to Visio 2003) A
side bonus is that since Visio Technical no longer exists and it's content
is now part of Visio Professional, an upgrade to Visio 2003 means an upgrade
to Visio Professional, which was a separate product in Visio 5.

Over the years, a number of items were dropped. In the case of dropped
stencils, the stencils can be retained and upgraded to the latest version.
The same is partially true for add-ons, but in some cases they may not work
with newer versions of Visio.

Which features did you note were missing?
