Vista Office Service Pack 3

I currently have Vista and Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003. For my
new job, I am required to have the SP3 service pack loaded. I keep getting
the error message 80070643. The tech at the job told me it is because I
previously uploaded SP2 (?) and suggested I call Microsoft for assistance (I
have been unable to find a phone number). Does anyone know a solution to
this problem? I have tried the suggestions given with the error message with
no success. If there is no easy solution, can I uninstall Vista and
reinstall XP?

You can't use Student and Teacher for a JOB.....it's against the EULA
AFAIK......

All flavors of Office 2003 work correctly with Vista. I have it installed
on my computer. You are having problems installing SP3 but it should
install correctly.

Now since you are using the product, as Gordon said, in violation of the
EULA ("The software is not licensed for use in any commercial, non-profit,
or revenue-generating business activities") look elsewhere for help.

I am not using the Office program itself or Word for my job, but the
applications I am using will not download properly without SP3. Is that
still a violation? I don't want to be doing anything I am not supposed to
be. Does anyone know of a phone number for microsoft support?

If the "application" you are using won't download files without Office SP3
being installed, you are using some part of Office to accomplish the end
goal. That, if being used for a business purpose would violate the EULA.
It doesn't have to be Word, PowerPoint or what ever main program being used
to violate the agreement, any of the subsidiary or sub-programs are part of
Office and all parts are part of the EULA. Your decision.

Thank you to everyone for your help. I turned down the job. Better safe
