want my pics back

Hi. Having lost some pics in a data disaster, I had a backup file of a Word
2003 document with the pics in it. I don't see a way to re-save the pics...
essentially get them back out of the doc.

Any insights? suggestions?

No great ways, but the simplest is to save the document as HTML -- any
graphics get saved separately as GIFs.

Thanks Jezebel. that was a good idea.

In the meantime, i'd found another way, too. ... and that was to copy the
photo, paste it in Publisher 2003, and save it as a jpeg. Hopefully these'll
be helpful to someone else.
