Hey Aaron,

We know who you are. If anyone here wanted to listen to an ass, they could
just break wind. Go away moron and find somewhere else to play.

there is no reason for Tony to splatter about how I'm not a MSFT
employee

a) I used to work for Microsoft
b) Tony has never worked for Microsoft
c) Tony is a MDB fairy and his help is detrimental to the average
newbie
d) DAO is dead and DAO users can screw themselves

a) I used to work for Microsoft

That may very well be.

However you are not currently a Microsoft employee. Therefore you are
misrepresenting yourself.

To all who read this... Tony is an excellent resource, one of the best.
It is unfortunate that there are those who feel taller by cutting

Actually, even 'I used to work for Microsoft' is a misrepresentation.
Contractors do *not* work for Microsoft. The might work *at*
Microsoft, but not *for* them. They work for the contracting agency.

And I did used to work for Microsoft, so does that mean I'm allowed to
'splatter about how' Todos is not a Microsoft employee, contractor or
vendor?

Tony Toews [MVP]

Needless to say Suzie DBA also doesn't work for Microsoft.

An honorable person would abide by the

"Terms of Service"

"6. Appropriate Conduct

"You agree that you are responsible for your own conduct and
communications while using the Service and for any consequences
thereof. You agree to use the Service only to send and receive
messages and material that are legal, proper and related to the
particular Group. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you
agree that when using the Service, you will not:

defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal
rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others;
post any inappropriate, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or unlawful
Content; "

I do not come to this group to read insults. I come here to learn and
connect with mature adults who respect others. I get help from others
and occasionally I am able to provide a little bit of help to someone
else in return.

I do not mind a vigorous debate concerning issues, but these personal
attacks just demonstrate a great amount of immaturity. I would like
for the Group Owner to ban this person from the group no matter what
alias they are using. In my experience, this kind of thing causes
people to leave groups.

Menos:

Your reputation has preceded you, and I'm amused to learn that it is
entirely deserved.

Given your implied preference for grown up tools over "baby databases", it
would seem to me that you'd want to reinforce that stance by acting like,
well, like a grown up.

Best of luck to you in the future.

Hi Hunter,

well said ... guess "all less" (todos menos translation from Spanish*,
has also been interpreted by someone else as "anything but") should just
get his pen and paper out and quit typing ;)

This Tony Toews guy.. he is NOT a credible source

When a non-credible sourceA says sourceB is non-credible, does that
mean that the this increases the credibility of SourceB, on the
principle of double negation?

Tony, you should be proud that Aaron says you're non-credible, since
everything he says is false.

I can testify to the fact that Tony Toews is one of the most gifted
and competent Access experts I've ever had the pleasure to
correspond with. He's also incredibly generous with his time. He
also has the kind of patience and kindness that I can only envy.

We should be so lucky as to have 10 regulars in this newsgroup like
Tony.

What terms of service are those? The terms of Aaron's ISP?

Or the TOS of Microsoft's news server? Keep in mind that not
everyone users MS's news server to post. I certainly don't -- I use
my ISP's news server, which is provided by giganews.com. So far as I
know, those are not their TOS.

c) Tony is a MDB fairy and his help is detrimental to the average

d) DAO is dead and DAO users can screw themselves

I you say it, it must be false. Therefore:

a) you never worked for Microsoft (you're so bloody stupid that
Microsoft never would have hired you)

b) Tony has worked for Microsoft (I don't know that he has; to my
knowledge he's never claimed that he has, so I have no idea why
you'd need to claim that he hasn't -- why negate an assertion that
hasn't been made?)

c) Tony is a butch MDB he-man and his help is phenomenally useful to
the average newbie (as well as everyone else)

d) DAO is not dead at all, in fact it has been given new life by
Microsoft with the new direction they've established for the Jet
database engine in A2K7, and DAO users cannot do the anatomically
impossible, any more than Aaron can (well, Aaron *does* seem to have
his head up his ass, so maybe not).

[the reason I respond is to establish a credible record of
refutation of stupid statements so that the Google archives do not
appear to propagate erroneous information]

[and just for the fun of it]

It's quite clear that Aaron never worked for Microsoft, even as a
contractor. Microsoft doesn't hire stupid people.

Well, he might have been a janitor, I guess, but I'd think he'd be
too stupid for such an honorable and valuable job as that, too.

Needless to say Suzie DBA also doesn't work for Microsoft.

Don Mellon used to be very fond of using Hotmail accounts to create
his own sock puppets. Hmm...
