Webmail & Outlook 2003- Re-downloads messages

I have a website hosted and my hosting company provides me with email of
my choice. ie (e-mail address removed) etc. I configured outlook so my mail
comes to my Outlook 2003 client. This is where the problem begins. Here
is what happens.

- I open outlook in the morning to receive any new mail. This works perfect.

- I open outlook later on and boom the same emails come down again. It
sucks when you have the same 323 emails constantly downloading over and
over again.

I don't have "Leave a copy of messages on server" option checked. I can
not seem to find a fix for this anywhere :( and this is my last hope.

It sounds like the connection is getting broken before outlook sends the
dele command to the server. You can turn on logging in tools, options,
other, advanced to see what the server response is.

If you leave Outlook open for a longer period of time, does it continue to
have problems deleting email?

Hi thank you for reply.

I will try the loggin thing you say and what should I be looking for in
perticular? I left Outlook open for a while to make sure, but it seems
to keep doing it.

the log will have entries when it sends the dele command - you can send me
the log file at posting address (you should only need it enabled for a
couple of mail passes) and I'll see if it tells us anything useful.
