I would like to use the work groups feature in project 2002. I will have some resources that aren't running project on their machines? Is there an additional cost to add this wgsetup to their machines and will it allow them to view the tasks and return status? I would appreciate a pointer to the ms website that contains this info

Hello Cheryl
The Workgroup Message Handler (WGSETUP.exe) is free. The remote resources
don't need to have MS Project running on their PC. The resources can retur
progress status on their tasks (that's the main aim of the product), but
they don' t have a Gantt Chart.

For version 2003 but its' almost the same for 2002. Everything is on the CD
of MS Project 2002.

Having installed the workgroup tools in 2003 can anyone tell me how you access it? I only appear to have the 'send to' option under the file menu. Is there a collaboration menu

It should add some options within Outlook as well. Also check out the
Help menu under the key word workgroup.
