what folder do the Office XP updates go into?

I have installed Office XP sp3 and now am attempting to install the (3)
subsequent updates. (Because office came pre-installed, I downloaded the
"full file" versions, as Office update requires the source disks.) The
install prompts for "the location to place the extracted files." Can anyone
advise?

Probably any folder you like. Just tell it which one and remember where you put
it.
