What happened to the Clip Art Gallery in Office 2003?

Is the clip art gallery as we used to know it no longer
available to us? Why do we have to go "Online" to search
for clipart? It used to be a whole lot easier!!! What
Happened??? Am I missing something?

If the Clip Gallery is still on your computer you can use it. Insert, object, scroll
down to Microsoft Clip Gallery. You can also use it as a standalone, create a
shortcut on your desktop, you won't be able to insert from it, but you can drag and
drop. It is in a folder similar to this:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Artgalry\ The program icon is CAG.

Thanks for your reply, however, I do not have a Artgalry
folder anywhere on my system. Can I install it from the
original CD? What's next?
Thanks,
Bob

Mary - We're having the same problem as Bob. No Artgalry file unde
"Microsoft Shared." We installed Office 2003 on 100+ computers at ou
new high school over the summer. Now the teachers are finding ver
little clip art, no art borders in Word, and the Publisher wizard
don't work. We're thinking about ditching Office 2003 and going back t
Office XP, unless we can find a solution that can be pushed out ove
the network. Any ideas?

If you have the media disk from Office XP, you can use the setup on the disk and
install the clipart. Office XP uses the same Clip Organizer as 2003. The Clip Gallery
was discontinued, it was last used in Office 2000 products, if you never had the Clip
Gallery it won't be present on your computers.
You might open the Organizer, file, click "add clips to Organizer" click
automatically, this will find all the images on your system.
