What is the best way to cancel a task

What's the best way to represent a task or set of tasks that were originally
planned, but then not executed (canceled)? I don't want to indicate that
they were completed, I don't want to show that they're still waiting for work
to be done, but I don't want them to disappear (they were planned tasks that
show a history of what happened).

Hi,

Put duration to zero
In task Information, advanced, check out "Mark Task as Milestone"
They have now disappeared from the Gantt Chart
I would personally set them 100% done to avoid them being moved around by
links or so..
