Ram,
The question is, what do you mean by "uniform"? If you are talking about
the way data is displayed in the view, then be advised that in a dynamic
master, view characteristics are independent between the master file and
the subprojects. For example if a subproject has colored fonts for
selected tasks, the color will NOT appear in the master. The view in the
master must also be configured for those colored fonts.

However, if by "uniform" you mean something else, then please explain.

Hope this helps.

Hi John, thats for the response - I am referring to the data being uniform. I
have just used resources from the matser and transferred them to the
subplans. Whats the best way to make sure when changes in task info and data
are made they will be changed in the Master plan, how would you go about
creating this setup between sub and master plans. Do you ahve any
reccomendations on a filing system for these plans.

Ram,
I don't quite understand what you mean by, "...just used resources from
the master and transferred them to the subplans." Were the resources
assigned to tasks in the master? Does the master have tasks of its own?
Normally a master has no tasks of its own but is simply a shell file
with pointers to the individual subprojects.

The best way to set up a dynamic master is to use Insert/Project. The
default configuration will be a dynamically linked master. That means
that any changes made in either the master or the subprojects will be
reflected in the other. Resources can reside in each individual
subproject or they can reside in the master, which then becomes a
resource pool file in addition to being the master. But, don't put
resources in both files (i.e. master and subprojects), or things can get
a little messy and/or confusing.
