What's next after Publisher 2003

Anyone know when a new version of Publisher will be coming out? I have 2003,
and some of my coworkers only have 98, so it's a pain to share documents.
They are wondering whether to just wait till an even newer version comes
before they buy2003...

You answered my question. I have publisher 95 and was wondering if I should
buy 2003. Think I will wait for the new version. I wonder if it will be able
to open my 95 files?

I have waited 10 years before thinking of upgrading so what is another year
of waiting. My version of 95 works great! I love it! Easy to use and it
creates great flyers and brouchoures. The only reason I need to upgrade is to
share publisher files with other users. Question? Is publisher95 one of those
early versions that save files in pub1 format? I read that those file formats
can not be read by the newer versions of publisher. I may need to convert my
old 95 files to a newer version before upgrading. I have 100's of Publisher
95 files.

No, only Publisher 1.0 saved files in 1.0 format. Publisher 2.0 was the
last version that could read those files, so your Publisher 95 can't even
read 1.0 files, let alone write them.
All current versions of Publisher can read your files. I see no reason why
the next version wouldn't be able to.

The next version of Publisher will share the same file format as Pub
2002/2003 and will be able to open files back to Pub 2.0.

FWIW, you will be able to open Pub 12 (next version) in Pub 2002 and 2003
without having to do a "save as". Pub 2002/2003/200? are all forward and
backwards compatible (less the new features)
