When adding sound, slides will not auto advance

Using PPT2002, I have created a PPT presentation that
autoadvances throughout the slides. I added a music MP3
to the presentation. Now, the presentation will not move
beyond the first page. Any suggestions?

Select the sound (speaker) icon and go to Slide Show > Custom Animation and
click on the arrowhead in the task pane next to the sound object. Select
Effects. Change your setting for "Stop Playing" from "On click" or "After
current slide" to "After XX slides" and make that number equal to a large
number. That way, the sound will play continuously through the presentation
as the slides advance.
