when i receive a slide show in hotmail, i can't view it.

i have xp-sp2-media center-05. i used to be able to view a pps in hotmail but
not anymore. i had been deleting some items in order to get ready for vista.
i'm wondering if i did something that caused this issue. i'm new to
computers. thanks.

Maybe it is just a problem with file association, see if this link helps:

i downloaded the file from that link, but it did not work. unless i did it
wrong. when i try to open the pps, a window opens, asking me to either save
the file or find a program online to open it, which i never had to do before.
i believe i did something wrong, just don't know. thanks
