When I try to access word 2003 it automatically shuts down

I just downloaded 2003 Office and when I try to open up Word the program
shuts down and a error message comes up saying that Microsoft Word has
experienced a problem to send the error message to Microsoft, so I did and it
keeps doing it everytime I open it up. I even tried unistalling the software
and reloading it. That did not work. Any ideas? Thanks,
