when you change the font IE it changes web appearance

If I change the font setting in IE to large; some sights don't look right and are off line. Why does it do that and how do I avoid that. I know some people like to set their font size to large and I use medium. Thanks

You really shouldn't because then people who need to see the site in large
fonts (for example visually impaired) won't be able to. If you really need
to you can use style sheets (CSS) to do this.

No I don't want to prevent them from setting their fonts to large, I want to prevent my site from looking funny and out of wack if they do

thanks

The best way to do that is to use Tables set for a specific number of pixels
and then use table cells (also set to specific pixel width and height) to
align your elements. Then, when they switch to large fonts, the layout will
stay in place but the font size will increase.
