Where can I find these functions.

Hi there,
I know the PC version of Word but I can't seem to find
certain function on a mac.

Insert page number (to tell Word at which number to start)
Insert Cross reference
Insert Caption

Help please.

All of these are in the same place they are in WinWord - the Insert Menu:

Insert page number (to tell Word at which number to start)

Insert/Page Number... click Format to reset the starting page.

Forgot to tell you I am in Word 98.
I can't seem to find those functions in the insert menu.
Am I going blid?

Make sure you don't have Word 5.1 Menus turned on. It should be an entry
under View.

If that isn't it, click on Tools | Customize, select the Menu Bar, and click
Reset, which will return them to the default. If you have heavily
customized your drop down menus, it's a better idea to take the trouble to
find the commands you are missing in the Tools | Customize, Commands panel,
and drag them back to the menus (if you can do that in Word 98, I don't
remember).
