where has my start menu gone?

[missing start menu]

My start menu has disappeared. I tried putting my mouse on botton edge and
dragging but its not there. Have tried a right click with no luck. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

What happens if you press the Windows key on your keyboard? On
my keyboard, the Windows key is located between the left Control
and Alt keys.

Now see what you did?.. everybody is going to want a Windows key located
between the left Control and Alt keys.. this is why I don't tell anybody
that I also have a Windows key between the right ALT key and the key that
opens drop down menus which is to the left of the right CTRL key..

Now see what you did?.. you made me tell about the other keys, so I'm just
gonna hafta ..............

Sorry... Garfield should know better than to answer what is an
off-topic question to begin with... what the heck does Garfield
know about Windows? On my Gateway laptop keyboard, there is no
right Ctrl key, and the two keys you mention are between the
right Alt and Fn keys. Garfield thought that a reference to the
left Windows key would be more universal, especially to a poster
who apparently doesn't know how to get the Start menu without
clicking on Start.
