where is l2531403.cab?

Despite having the Office 2003 CD, it's impossible to install online Office
updates due to the update software asking for an L2531403.cab file--which
doesn't exist on the CD. How can this be fixed?

Hi, MontyTC,

Do you have any other Office family programs installed, such as Publisher,
Visio, Project, FrontPage or Works? Check the Windows Control Panel to see
what else might be installed, even from a previous version, then try
inserting that CD.
