Where is Microsoft Word?

I recently bought new PC with Windows XP media centre. However i do not seem
to have any Microsoft office programs such as word or excel which i was
expecting to be already on the system. Do i have to buy theses separately or
am i being stupid and not looking properly?

Did you ask the salesperson about what was installed?.. Did you look at the
'point of sale' material?.. MS Office is and always has been a separate
product..

MS Office is available at all good computer stores or is available for
purchase online..
