Remember in untio Office 2003 you will see in the Start Menu two items called
Open Office file and New/Create Office file. Why is there none after
upgrading to Office 2007 Professional Plus? Or must I create one?

Hi Dino,

In both the Office 2003 and 2007 versions the old style 'New Office Document' and 'Open Office Document' items are optional
installation features that you can add from the Microsoft Office choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel.

The Office Button=>New choice in the ribboned Office 2007 apps give you clearer previews of items you're going to open, including
the Office Online template content.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your reply. However, I am referring to the START menu of
Windows Vista where there used to be a two (2) GENERAL menu ITEMS for Office
that when you click either brings up a window with tabs of the categories
(kinds of file types) and the icons represents the kind of Office program
that would handle such a work. It is sort of annoying that I need to go the
ALL PROGRAMS then to MS OFFICE submenu etc . . .
