Subject: Where's my document?

Hi,

I am VERY new to windows. It took me for ever to find this group and ask my question, but here it is:

I used Microsoft Word to create a new document. Then I saved it in Word. then I closed Word. Now, I open Word again, and the document is not there!!!

Where is my document?

Thanks,

Tembel.

Look under your file menu at the very end. If you have the option checked,
it will show recent files. Otherwise, in Windows, click on the Start Button
and look under My Recent Documents. Now, if you happen to know where I put
my keys...

It's wherever you saved it. If you didn't specify a different location (and
apparently you didn't), it's saved in Word's default folder, which is
probably the root of My Documents. For the path to this see the path for
"Word documents" on the File Locations tab of Tools | Options. But if Word
is set to start in this folder, then when you start Word and choose File |
Open, you should see your document.
