Where's the mystery item to send? Outbox is clear

I have outlook 2003 checking a few email addresses and one of the addresses
is trying to send out something, but the outbox is clear. Where is this
mystery message being stored so I can delete it?

Surprised that no one has attempted any response... anyone out there?

It is probably a read receipt. Based on the dearth of information provided
by the OP, there is no question as to why no one has answered.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer,

Any idea how to get it out of the registry or wherever Outlook puts the read
receipts to send?
