Why am I getting Access Denied to Outlook.pst?

I am using Office 2000 and after updating my "contacts" and executing Save
and Close I get an error message "outlook.pst could not be accessed. Access
Denied. It has been working just fine. What is the problem.

I have already run the "Detect and Repair" from the original installation CD.
