Why are two columns getting updated?

I've added two columns to my project file, Number1 and Number2. I put a
formula in Number1, "Number1 = [Duration]". Of course, I don't type in the
"Number1 = " part since Project provides that.

My problem is that when I hit Ok, both columns Number1 and Number2 get
updated with the exact same values, duration in minutes.

Why is column Number2 getting updated? I didn't assign it a formula. I
haven't done anything with Number2 yet.

Is there some sort of connection between these fields?

User error. Sorry for the post. Both columns were pointing to the same
field. I suspected that immediately and somehow missed it. Working fine now.
