Why can't I open a Powerpoint file on my computer?

I am enrolled on an online class. I have Office on my computer, including
Excel, Powerpoint and Word. I saved a target on my computer. Its a ppt
file. I tried to open the file, but it says that the filename is invalid.
Powerpoint works buy itself, but I can't open this file. HOW COME?????

Sometimes file extensions are stripped for one reason or another. Try adding
..ppt after the file then try to open........TD

Marie - what is the filename and are you using a mac or a PC?

Go to Help menu and choose Check for Updates. Follow the instructions to
install the latest service packs. That is likely to clear up your problem.
