Why cant I save doc then send email from open doc?

s update/change information in Publisher documents and click "SAVE". When I
need to send to another person I click File, Send e-mail - document as
attachment. The recipient recieves the original document, not the docoument
with saved changes. Why is this???? I find when I close Publisher after
clicking "SAVE" and send from Outlook at an attachment the recipient recieves
the correct doc. Since sending e-mail from an open document is an option, I
should be able to use it. Does anyone have this problem????
