Hi Joy,
There are 3 possible sources for lack of color when printing, at least 3 I
can think of off the top of my head.
1) Hardware failure.
Is it possible that the color inkjet cartridge is misaligned or the
protective tape was not removed from the ink-jet? You said the printer does
print color on a test page, so this is not the problem.
2) Printer settings.
Some printers have software that allows features to be selected, these may
include grayscale settings that convert all pages to black and white
non-color. Some print drivers can also be set to mimic other machines that
may not have color printing abilities. You have said that you adjusted the
printer settings, but I would double check all the printer settings to make
sure.
3) PowerPoint settings.
While your post does not mention PowerPoint directly, I will assume that
this happens from PowerPoint (which is why you selected this group to post
to). There are settings on the print dialog that will convert the printed
output to grayscale or black and white only. Make sure in the print dialog
(use File -> Print rather than the print icon on the toolbar) that the Color
option is selected.
